Electronic Transactions Act (Technology and Innovation)
- provides legal recognition of information and records in electronic form
- allows for the provincial government and the private sector to conduct business electronically based on consent of the parties

Historical Resources Act (Culture)
- Section 9H of this Act identifies the responsibilities of the
Provincial Archives of Alberta (PAA) for acquiring and preserving government records
- identifies the PAA as the official repository for government records of enduring value
