The Encrypted Traffic Inspection Standard specifies the approach and controls governing the decryption and interception of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/lP) traffic entering or exiting the Government of Alberta (GoA) Information Technology (IT) environment(s). Examination of intercepted traffic provides additional detection capabilities and protection against malicious activity and malware for GoA information and data assets.​
